Sinem DURSUN KASIMOĞLU

I was born in Istanbul in 1978. In 1996 i passed my entry test of the Istanbul University and in 2002 I successfully completed the Radio-TV-Cinema Department at Istanbul University’s Communication Faculty. Between 2002 and 2004, I completed my postgraduate education as a scholarship student in Media Studies at Near East University Faculty of Communication. Between 2000-2002, 2004-2007, I worked as an editor, correspondent, journalist and as a news reporter in different news centers of various TV channels in Istanbul and interviewed in various magazines.

I joined the Near East University in February 2007. I took part in the promotion activities of the university with the television programs. Where i hosted different TV programs and i prepared and presented those programs in the Near East TV in line with the vision, mission and goals. In September 2011, I was appointed as the manager of YDU FM, which broadcasts on the 88.0 frequency which is also the part of Communication Faculty of the Near East University.

In 2015, I completed my Ph.D. education in Near East University Institute of Educational Sciences, Department of Educational Administration, Supervision, Economics and Planning. I was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Communication at YDU on 13 June 2016. I am currently giving courses related to TV Program Types, Radio Studio Applications, Introduction to Radio and TV, Image Aesthetics, and Radio Program Production in the Faculty of Communications.

In 2015, I published a book titled “Knowledge Management and Project Based Learning in Higher Education” from LAP LAMBERT Academic Publications. I have written some articles based on Information Management Process in Project Based Courses, Communication, Social Media, New Media, Written and Visual Press, Tolerance Education and so on. Which are published in the magazines scanned in SSCI, Scopus.
