Associate Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap born in Cyprus, 1972. He completed his primary and secondary education in Cyprus and higher education in Turkey at İzmir Dokuz Eylül University, Fine Arts Faculty, Cinema and Television Department. After he completes his undergraduate education in 1995, he accomplished Cinema, Tv Department postgraduation programme in Social Science Enstitute (1997) and Cinema, Tv Department phd programme in Fine Arts Enstitute (2005).

He begans to work in Near East University in 1997 as a İzmir Representator and continued as Aegan – Mediterranean Region Representator and Turkey Coordinator.

After his doctoral examination Kasap been entrusted with a task of Head of Department of Radio, Tv and Cinema Department and Coordinator of Public Relations and Advertising Management in Near East University, 2007.

With his published articles in various new papers and magazines Kasap also has several works in tv and cinema fields. His documentaries had been shown in national and international festivals and television channels. Some of them are; Beyin Göçü (1995), Türk Sinema Tarihi (2014), Ahde Vefa – Umut Yolu Ereköy (2014), Sözün Son Kadınları: Bedia Hanım (2017).

Also he produced and presented tv programmes about cultur, art and science “Hayat Sanat” and “Education and Life in Near East” at various television channels in TRNC.

Kasap’s scientific articles published in SSCI, SCOPUS, ESCI indexed and international refereed journals. He continues to his scienctific researches in fields of cinema, television, new media, culture and art. He adapted his field work as book name called “Cyprus Them Movies On Peace Culture: A Research On Movies Which Produced at 1960-2000”, “Reality Shows on TV in the Context of Media Violence Relations” and as a collective author “Communication and Oral History I: Common Life of Turks – Greeks in Cyprus”.

He has performed many national and international film screenings and exhibitions. Also he has been a president and member of jury of many film festivals. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap is a member of Scientific Board of International Turkish World Press Symposium and Editorial Board of International Journal of Art, Culture and Communication.

Kasap is working in Near East University Faculty of Communication as a Head of Radio, Tv and Cinema Department and also Member of Social Science Institute Ethic Committee He gives several lectures to under and postgraduation students.
