Oshan Uluşan, born in Nicosia, graduated from Near East College in 2011. After completing two years in the International Relations department at Near East University in 2011, he transitioned to his true passion, the field of Communication Sciences. In 2017, he graduated with honors from the Journalism department of Near East University.

In the same year, he enrolled in the Media and Communication Studies Master's program and continued his education in the field of communication within the Near East University. In 2019, he successfully completed his master's degree with a 4.0 GPA, defending his thesis titled "An Other Inquiry: Identity, Conflict, and the Inner Walls."

Immediately after his master's degree, he began his doctoral studies in communication sciences. In the same year, he started teaching courses in the Journalism department of the Faculty of Communication at Near East University.

Alongside his academic career, he took on short-term editorial roles for various magazines and online news websites both domestically and internationally. Currently, he serves as a lecturer in the Faculty of Communication at Near East University and works as a research assistant in the Sustainability Office under the Quality and Accreditation Coordination at Near East University.

His research areas include political communication, cultural studies, media studies, data journalism, among others.
