Ufuk Altunç was born on the 1st of January in 1979 in GaziMağusa. She completed her secondary and lycee education in GaziMağusa Namık Kemal Lycee. Besides her success in the lycee, she participated various social activities as well. While she was acting in a theatre play, she won price of acting the best among the other schools’ students. With two friends she published the first youth magazine, “Alkışlanacak Cesaret”, which was appreciated by the media. While she was continuing her education in the faculty of communication in the Department of Radio, Tv, Cinema, she worked as live broadcast productor and the assistant of director in the channels “Kanal D” and “Show Tv”. She did her M.A. degree in Marmara University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations and Advertising. At the moment she has been doing her post graduate (PhD) degree in the faculty of Communication in Near East University. Before she started working in Near East University in 2005 as a lecturer, she had worked for a private company as a public relations manager.
