Hüseyin TURAN graduated from the undergraduate program of Near East University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations and Advertising in 1998. Then, he completed his master's degree at the Near East University Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, TV and Cinema. In his career, which he started in TRNC in 1999, he worked as a manager, news anchor and made news programs on state television BRTK, Avrasya TV, Genç TV and Kanal T, respectively.
He is currently the editor-in-chief of the Kıbrıs Haber Ajans and Ajans Cyprus News portals, which belong to his own media company, Ajans Mira Turan Cyprus Media Production, and he served as the Press and Public Relations and Near East TV managers of the Near East University until the 2003-2004 academic year. He currently teaches as an Expert Lecturer in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising at the Faculty of Communication at Near East University.
