The new issue of the International Journal of Art, Culture and Communication has been published

It was announced that the Faculty of Communication of Near East University Faculty recently published a new issue of the International Journal of Art, Culture and Communication which is focused on art, culture and communication, as the name implies.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the new issue of the peer-reviewed e-journal published through the Journal Park system includes six scientific articles.

The contents of the Journal include: An analysis of the work titled as ‘Poverty’ by KätheKollwitz; Illustrated Children’s Books in the Smartphone Environment titled as Efe is a guest; and Zeynep and Zeytin; Social Access Programs for Deaf and Hearing Impaired Individuals in Art Museums -an example model from the USA; Use of Photographic Material as a Visual Language in Photographic Art, “Oral Communication in the Context of the Cyclic Process of Communication” and Tempera Painting Technique from the past to the present.

The magazine, which started to be published annually in 2018, has later been published twice a year since 2019.

The journal is open to academic research in all sub-disciplines of social sciences such as sociology, law, philosophy, literature, and political science, mainly art, culture and communication, and double-blind refereeing is used for the Journal. Moreover, The International Journal of Arts, Culture and Communication accepts research articles, review articles, translations and book reviews in Turkish and English.

The Editorial Board include Vice Dean of Faculty of Communication of Near East University and Head of Department of Radio, TV and Cinema Assoc Prof Dr Fevzi Kasap, who is the Head Editor; Vice Editors Academic Members of Faculty of Communication of Near East University Assist Prof Dr. Ayhan Dolunay and Assist Prof Dr. Çağdaş Ögüç; Editorial Board Members-Assoc Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap, Vice Dean of Faculty of Communication of Near East University and Head of Department of Public Relations and Promotion Assist Prof Dr. Nuran Öze, Assist Prof Dr. Dolunay and Assist Prof Dr. Öğüç.

Furthermore, it was revealed that  new article submissions can be made via the Gönder/Submit Article button on the main page.

In the foreword of the new issue, titled as from the editor,  Assoc Prof Dr. Fevzi Kasap expressed the excitement and happiness they felt about the the new issue and added that the journal is open to all sub-branches of social sciences, and is mainly concerned with art, culture and communication.

Assoc Prof Dr. Fevzi Kasap said: “It is our belief that the journal will be transformed into a long-term scientific publication that will have important academic contributions in a short period of time with the original works of our esteemed academicians. Also, we reiterate that your valuable views, criticisms and contributions will accelerate this process. In addition to the Editorial Board, which determines the publishing policies of the journal and takes charge of its publication, a referee board consisting of competent names from different universities has also been formed.

The International Journal of Art, Culture and Communication is aimed to be among many national and international prestigious indexes in the future. It was stated that the decision to accept publications, which aims to reach the academicians who produce original and qualified scientific works in many countries of the world, was meticulously given in the light of this principle.

Making a statement on the matter, Assistant Editors Assist Prof Dr. Dolunay and Assist Prof Dr. Ögüç expressed their wish that the new issue will be beneficial to the world of science and art. Furthermore, in order to avoid delaying the accepted studies until the publication of a volume and issue, they stated that the aim was to start the application of online first and that the studies are continuing in this direction.
